The Mid-America Seminary Development Council consists of Christian lay people from many different professions, backgrounds, and geographic regions. The Development Council assists the Seminary staff in obtaining support for the operations of the school. This assistance would include communicating the history, programs, needs, and distinctive qualities of the Seminary to potential supporters.
The requirements for membership on the Development Council are:
Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord.
Must be an active member of a Southern Baptist Church.
Must be in agreement with the Articles of Religious Belief of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and be willing to sign these articles annually.
Must be in agreement with the aims and goals of the Seminary, be willing to support these goals, and attempt to enlist others in support.
Must be committed to attendance at the annual meeting of the Development Council, and as many local meetings as possible.
