Biblical Preaching Takes Front and Center at Mid-America’s Adrian Rogers Preaching Conference

For more than 50 years, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary has focused on equipping biblical preachers and leaders who are committed to the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture. That legacy has intertwined with the ministry of Dr. Adrian Rogers, long-time pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church, founder of Love Worth Finding Ministries, and faithful friend and champion of Mid-America, who referred to our school as “Scholarship on Fire.”

Capturing this spirit and honoring his legacy, the Adrian Rogers Preaching Conference is a Mid-America tradition in which passionate, Christ-centered preaching is on glorious display. Held August 19–21, the Conference will be held in conjunction with our annual Founders’ Days, creating a three-day celebration you will not want to miss.

The Adrian Rogers Preaching Conference brings together a collection of the nation’s most notable preachers, including Dr. Michael Spradlin, President of Mid-America for more than 25 years.

Also, representing Mid-America’s faculty will be Dr. David L. Allen, Distinguished Professor of Practical Theology and Dean of the Adrian Rogers Center for Biblical Preaching. With an extensive background in preaching that included top-level teaching and leadership at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Dr. Allen is also founder of the preaching ministry and website, preachingcoach.com.

Rounding out the noteworthy line-up will be Dr. H.B. Charles, Jr., Pastor of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Mac Brunson, Senior Pastor of Valleydale Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and Dr. Brad Whitt, Pastor of Abilene Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia.

The Adrian Rogers Preaching Conference includes three days of training and celebration and begins Monday, August 19, 12:00 noon, and runs through Wednesday, August 21, after lunch. The Conference includes breakout sessions and workshops, major giveaways, plus worship led by Jim Whitmire and Joshua McClain. The $50 cost includes meals. Registration is available online at mabts.edu/adrianrogers.

Conference Schedule

Monday, August 19, 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, August 20, 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, August 21, 11:00 a.m.

Though the Conference concludes after lunch on Wednesday, August 21, Founders’ Days continues on Thursday, August 22, 11:00 a.m., with a special message by Dr. Michael Spradlin.

Events such as the Adrian Rogers Preaching Conference, the recent acquisition of 30,000 volumes for the Mid-America Preaching Libraries, the addition of new faculty such as Dr. David L. Allen, and our special preaching programs and degrees have helped cement Mid-America as a premier school for equipping the next generation of biblical preachers.
