Equipping You to Use God’s Word to Light the Way for Others
Biblical Counseling is one of the fastest-growing areas in Christian ministry. Mid-America’s Master of Divinity in Biblical Counseling is a professional graduate degree beyond the Bachelor of Arts or equivalent, designed to promote students’ growth toward personal maturity and ministry competence in the practice of biblical counseling within a church-related ministry.
This program’s specific objectives are accomplished through classroom instruction, professorial modeling, participation in the Witness One:Seven program, and a real-world counseling practicum. Biblical counseling allows the counselor to best help counselees embrace and apply a biblical worldview to their life. This three-year degree program is offered online or residentially and requires 90 semester hours of academic credit for graduation.
Individuals with this degree are prepared to become a biblical counselor in the local church, engage in biblical counseling in a para-church organization or Christian school, lead discipleship training in the local church, become a biblical counselor in a solo or group practice.
