Mid-America’s President, Dr. Spradlin shared the news on June 14 that Mid-America is the recipient of two major collections of preaching resources: the 5,000-volume library of Dr. Adrian Rogers and the 25,000-volume library of Dr. David L. Allen.
Furthering its position as one of the nation’s premier institutions for equipping biblical counselors, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary has been selected as an official Certified Training Center for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).
Strengthening a 50-year tradition of equipping biblical preachers and leaders, Dr. David L. Allen has joined the faculty of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and The College at Mid-America in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Allen will serve as Mid-America’s Distinguished Visiting Professor of Practical Theology and Dean of the Adrian Rogers Center for Biblical Preaching.
Dr. Lee Brand Jr. was elected to serve as the Southern Baptist Convention’s First Vice President. Dr. Brand’s message remained focused on the sufficiency of Scripture as the preeminent solution to the problems facing our Convention and the world. Read more about his nomination.
